Today, for the 2nd time in 9 months, I am being called to Jury Duty. While I am not looking forward to going and sitting and doing mostly nothing this afternoon, I will also not shirk my obligation/duty to do this.
I tell my Son all the time the the "Government" is US, you know, you and me. And part of the duty that we owe the Republic is to make sure that anyone charged with a crime is fairly tried.
So, I will gather up my book reader, and the phone, and will ride there, and sit, and answer questions honestly, and not "try" to get out of the duty.
I will, as always, see you on the other side.
